I am grateful for so many things in my life right now. I love Thanksgiving because it gives us time to reflect on the things we are so blessed with. On our way to Thanksgiving dinner Tay and I were talking about the things we're grateful for. The list is long, but here are a few:
-Our new little family. A year ago I would never have guessed we would have 2 beautiful children. They are such a blessing in our lives. I can't even describe how much I love Stockton and Mckaylee. Their smiles and little gestures just melt me. I can't imagine my life without them.
-I'm so grateful for truly the most amazing husband in the world! I knew he would be a good daddy, but I don't think I really knew how good of daddy he would be. He helps me SO much! From the minute he gets home from work until the babies go down to bed, he is holding, feeding, or playing with at least one of them. When Mckaylee wasn't sleeping through the night he got up just as much as I did to feed her. He was up every 2-3 hours and never complained. He likes his sleep, but has sacrificed so much for his children. Because there are two babies he's put in a position where he is just as much of a dad as I am a mom. He is so cute with them and you can see how much he loves them by the way he treats them.
-In this economic time I'm so grateful for Tay's job. He's been doing pharmaceutucal sales since May and absolutely loves it. It's so great to have a husband who is so happy in their job. He truly loves what he does and it is the perfect job for him right now and makes it so I can stay home with our children. (although I'm back at work part time for right now).
-I'm grateful for family. With the birth of our children we have come to realize how helpful our family is. My mom takes care of them all the time and is such an amazing grandmother. I don't know if I could do it without her (and my dad of course). Her life revolves around her grandkids. I look up to her and her selflessness. I love her so much! I know anyone of my family members would drop anything to help me.
-My in-laws. I am especially grateful for Crystal & Cregg. Having them live so close is such a blessing! They love seeing the babies and Crystal has taken care of them alot. She is so cute with them and there have been many times where they have saved us. It has been fun to grow closer with them from living in Daybreak. I wish Tay's mom lived closer so she could see the babies more, and I know she would be with the babies all the time if she could.
-The Gospel & Temples- Although we have slacked in this area, words can't explain how grateful I am for the gospel. I have been blessed my whole life and am in forever debt to my heavenly father. Without the gospel I'd be lost. I am also grateful for temples and the feeling they give you. I love looking out on my porch and seeing the vibrantly lit up temple. It reminds you daily to strive to be a better person.
-My friends. I've been blessed with so many great friends. I have such great highschool friends that I still see all the time and love too death. I've also met so many good friends from my old neighborhood in highland park and from our new neighborhood in daybreak. I feel like I've known some of these girls forever! We are surrounded by so many amazing people! i know that there was a reason for each house we've lived in and although I never thought I'd be living in daybreak, it was the best decision we've ever made! We love it here and don't see ourselves moving for a long time.
-My health. I'm grateful that I have a body that can take care of 2 babies. I'm grateful for joints that let me run with little pain. I'm grateful for the energy I have, The human body is incredible and I'm so grateful for the health I have. You don't realize what you have until its gone or until it is hurting.
-There are countless things I'm so blessed with. I'm so grateful for food, clothes, a home, our prophet, leaders, the book of mormon, etc...
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!
